PCA&D taught me many of the vital skills I require on a daily basis to work in my field. I was taught to use all different types of equipment and techniques from film cameras, developing and processing to studio lighting, digital cameras and printers. Our professors focused on teaching how to brand yourself, speak to clients and how to critique and communicate about our own work. Many classes had a balance of artistic and commercial lessons to see both the art and the business side to photography. I feel this important balance has played a major role in my career, post college.
