Alexandra Leonhart

Alexandra Leonhart originally joined PCAD as a team member in the IT Department before teaching Introduction to Sound Technology a few years later in 2017. She then became the Director of Aesthetic Technologies and LiveX Professor in 2021. Her specializations include sound and visual technologies, 3D fabrication equipment, and electronic hardware design for artists.

Inspired by the process of material investigation, Alexandra creates devices exploring the intersection of physical computing and simple artificial interpretations forming complex relations of light, sound, and mechanical movement.

In her free time, Alexandra enjoys composing music and playing board games. She lives in Lancaster with her partner and cat.
