Hill Nelson is a graduate of Penn State University, where he received his BA and MA in Art History. In addition to having taught at PCA&D from 2000-2011, he has taught courses at Penn State, Kutztown, Reading Area Community College, York College, Eastern Mennonite University, and Lehigh Carbon Community College. In 2002, he received the Academic Services Adjunct Award from LCCC for his outstanding teaching abilities and was given a similar citation at Penn State in 2018.
Hill has published an online textbook on the history of comic books and has also traveled the world to far-off locations, including China, Egypt, Jordan, New Zealand, Turkey, Israel, Malta, and much of Europe; the island of Crete is his favorite place! Aside from art, he loves baseball, American pop culture, and history. He and his wife Kathy have two step-children, a cat, a dog, and a turtle.
