Matt Novak

Matt Novak is an award‑winning children’s book author, illustrator, and former Disney Animation artist whose career spans more than three decades. He has written and illustrated more than twenty children’s books, earning recognition from educators, librarians, and literacy organizations for his imaginative storytelling and expressive visual style.

Novak began his career at Walt Disney Feature Animation, where he contributed to the studio’s tradition of character‑driven, hand‑drawn storytelling. His experience at Disney shaped his understanding of narrative performance, visual design, and collaborative production—skills that later defined his work in publishing and media.

Beyond his books, Novak has taught illustration and storytelling, mentoring emerging artists and inspiring young creators. Today, he is the founder and creative director of Nootron Media, a Pennsylvania‑based animation studio dedicated to adapting existing and original content into high‑quality animated content for global audiences.
