Mike Meservey

Live Experience Design

Mike has been involved in theater in some form or another since he was 7 years old. He grew up in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and moved to New York when he was 18 to pursue a career in theater. He ultimately earned a BFA in acting from Adelphi University in 1999 and found his way backstage. He worked as a stagehand, carpenter, and rigger with Off-Broadway, Broadway, cruise ships, live events, and product launches around New York City before moving to Lancaster in 2007 to work at Atomic Designs.

Over the next 15 years, he worked in fine carpentry, shop management, technical direction, scenic design, entertainment technology support, and finally, education. He is currently the Equipment Manager for the Academy of Live Technology at Rock Lititz as well as an adjunct professor at PCA&D.

Mike earned an MS in Technology and Innovation from Millersville University in 2021 and taught in the Entertainment Technology program at MU.

Mike loves to cook, hang out with his kids, and play harmonica.
