Seth Crider ’18
Adjunct Professor
Alumni / Professional Certificates
Seth Crider is an Alumni of PCA&D (Fine Art ’18) who went on to complete a Masters of Science in Data Analytics and Visualization from Pratt Institute.
During his time as a student, Seth completed a year-long fellowship at the United Nations Global Pulse as a Data Visualization Assistant, and as a researcher for the Museums and A.I. Network. This period exposed Crider to visual applications for science and allowed him to hone his passion for cartography, infographics, and storytelling. Shortly after graduate school, Seth went on to work as a Data Analytics Specialist for the Department of the Navy where he dealt with improving operational inefficiencies through analysis and design.
More recently, Seth works as an E-Discovery Data Science Advisor for Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP — a law firm in middle Manhattan — and will be teaching classes for the newly formed Data Visualization Certificate at PCA&D.
In his free time, Seth maintains a studio practice where his personal work deals with expanding the visual possibilities of creative coding, mathematics, and data.
