CITY OF LANCASTER RIVER CONNECTIONS PROGRAMSidewalk MuralistThe City of Lancaster is seeking 2-3 artists to design and paint sidewalk murals of approximately 16 square feet on sidewalks adjacent to storm drains as part of the City's River Connections program. All supplies will be provided to selected artists, including concrete stains in a variety of colors. Artists will select locations for their mural from a predetermined list. Budget: $500 (materials and supplies will be provided to artists by the City of Lancaster at no cost) There are currently 14 River Connections storm drain murals throughout the City. The current mural inventory can be viewed using the following link: https://www.publicartarchive.org/collections/River-Connections-Storm-Drain-Murals-Map This commission is open to all professional artists. Applicants must be 18 years or older. Artists are preferred to reside in or near Lancaster City, though all interested artists are encouraged to apply. Submissions are due by Sunday, August 30, 2026 at 11:59PM.To be considered, applicants must submit the following materials:• A statement of interest (including contact information)• 3-5 images of previous artwork relevant to project scope.
