The assignment: Making a Health & Safety video both informational and fun

Thursday, September 3rd, 2020

New health and safety precautions are a given everywhere these days, thanks to COVID-19, and the PCA&D campus is no different. As part of our return to campus — a hybrid of both in-person and virtual learning — PCA&D’s Health & Safety Team compiled not only detailed guidelines for what needs to be done, by whom, and how, but also filmed some creative safety protocol videos to help get the point across in memorable fashion (We ARE an art and design school, after all: a handbook alone just isn’t enough!). Filmed and produced by IT Team Lead Alex Leonhart and starring Todd Snovel, Director of Development and Strategic Initiatives, the videos feature cameos by other members of the Health & Safety team as well: Director of the Physical Plant and Pandemic Safety Officer Dan Freiler, Executive Assistant to the President Amy Gaston, Director of Finance and Administration Jonelle Matthews, and Disbursements and Benefits Coordinator Jack McCoy.
