A message to our BFA alumni: National Arts Alumni Project survey

. . .

Tuesday, August 30th, 2022

Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is partnering with the Strategic National Arts Alumni Project (SNAAP) to learn about how studying art and design has influenced the lives and careers of our alumni.

The information we gather will be used to strengthen the College’s academic programs and student experiences, and it will also be used by SNAAP to advocate for arts education nationally. SNAAP is the biggest voice for arts alumni in the country, and this is the biggest survey that informs their research and advocacy efforts. PCA&D is extremely excited to be a part of this year’s efforts.

The SNAAP survey is offered only to participating institutions and their graduates; there are 125 colleges participating this year, including most Association of Independent Colleges of Art & Design (AICAD) schools. At PCA&D, BFA degree-holding alumni may be emailed a survey invitation in October. The survey will take about 20 minutes to complete, and will be open from Oct. 11 through Nov. 28.

The survey is completely voluntary and alumni who are invited to participate can opt-out at any time. Responses to the survey will remain confidential and will only be used to inform research on arts education.

This input truly will help shape the future of art and design education across the nation and, especially, at PCA&D. Alumni are the College’s best ambassadors for the recruitment of future students, and the survey input will impact the evolution of PCA&D’s curriculum and the preparation of the next generation of creatives. Sharing personal experiences and professional journeys allows us to celebrate the work of alumni and encourage students who are embarking on their own creative careers.
