Alumni News Fall 2017

Amy Boone-McCreesh, PCA&D ’07, Fine Art, is exhibiting Taste and Privilege from November 8 to December 20, 2017 at the York College Galleries. A Lecture and Reception will be held  Wednesday, November 8, 5:30 PM in DeMeester Recital Hall.

Samantha Bowen and Ariana Pluchinsky, both Illustration, Class of 2017, have jointly created The Woodlands, a web comic about a overconfident satyr, availablr at https://woodlandscomic.com/

Matt Allyn Chapman, PCA&D ’08 and current Foundation Year adjunct instructor,  exhibited “Out there from Right Here” including his first video piece, at the Ware Center October 6 and 7. In August, Chapman  also exhibited at the City Hall Gallery in September.

Socheata Chhun, PCA&D Graphic Design alumni, Class of 2015, has painted one of the ducks that were located around Harrisburg during the summer. PennLive uploaded a video of her taking it off of the truck. http://hubs.ly/H07TnK30

 Jason Herr, Fine Art, Class of 2016, had a piece published in the fall 2017 edition of the Australian art quarterly The Lifted Brow. He also part of a group exhibition “My Head is Round so my thoughts can change direction” at the Assembly House in Leeds England, November 9 – 24.

Justin Jones, Illustration, Class of 2007, is involved in an ongoing with fellow PCA&D alumus Eric Regester, Illustration, Class of 2006, to bring art to their neighbors  by organizing local and out-of-town artists to paint original works on the fences of their neighborhood near First and Ruby Street in Lancaster.

Katerina Kuss, Graphic Design ’02, and Todd Geiger, Fine Art ’02, published the first issue of their new magazine Revelo, revelomag.com, in October

Evan Kitson, Illustration ’10 alum & PCA&D Fine Art faculty, exhibited his works“Ritual” at the
Red Raven Art Company, Lancaster, in  September.

Ashley Moog, PCA&D alum ’12 and adjunct faculty member is exhibiting “Second Skin” at the Eckert Art Gallery, Millersville. Through Oct 6. Artist talk 9/21 5:30 p.m.

Garrett Moore, Fine Art Class of 2017, is the Creative Arts Specialist at the Friendship Heart Gallery in Lancaster

Isaac Pelepko, Fine Art, Class of 2004, is exhibiting “Academy of Dreams,” November 2 – December 17 at the Suzanne H Arnold Art Gallery, Annville, PA

Ken Swartz, ’82 PSA&D, and founder of Salti Sweet, a Colorado based company blending organic ice cream and pretzels, which recently began to be carried in Lancaster area grocery stores.

Katie Trout, Graphic Design ’14, recently took on a new role at Snapchat as the lead designer and co-creative strategist for coverage of the upcoming winter Olympics.
