MattAllynChapmanArtwork by Matt Allyn Chapman, PCA&D alumnus will be on display in the Regitz Gallery, Ware Center, through January 30, 2016. The works in this collection explore the physical applications and the conceptual conditions of pressure in its many forms. The many variations and intricacies of pressure, its ability to contain, compress, and paralyze, and also its ability to provoke movement, spark change, and build momentum are all be explored.
He received his B.F.A., Illustration, from Pennsylvania College of Art & Design in 2008 and then earned a M.F.A from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. He also keeps a studio as a founding member of the artist collective Eight+ (8+) and holds the position of Associate Director of Pentimenti Gallery, Philadelphia.
