Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is pleased to announce the appointment of Theresa Womble, Lauren Frick and Kelly Conlin to its Board of Trustees — a group whose collective expertise spans industry leadership, nonprofit governance, financial strategy and creative innovation.

Their addition comes at an exciting moment for the College as PCA&D continues to expand academic programs, deepen community partnerships and strengthen its model of career-ready, industry-embedded education.

“These trustees represent exactly the kind of leadership PCA&D needs at this moment,” said President Andy Barnes, Ph.D., M.F.A. “They advance our vision of a college that is deeply community-engaged and industry-embedded — and they bring perspectives that will help our students see what’s possible when creativity, leadership and real-world impact intersect.”

Meet the New Trustees

Theresa Womble
Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications, Armstrong World Industries
Womble leads external communications and investor engagement for one of the region’s largest employers, shaping strategy, thought leadership and corporate reputation. Her background spans corporate communications, financial analysis and higher education, bringing valuable perspective on how creative talent connects with industry and economic growth.

Lauren Frick
President, The Steinman Foundation; President, Steinman Communications
Frick oversees governance, risk management and philanthropic investment for one of Lancaster County’s most impactful family foundations. With deep experience in nonprofit leadership, finance and community development, she brings insight that will help PCA&D grow responsibly while strengthening its regional impact.

Kelly Conlin
Creative Director, Bristol Myers Squibb
After two decades building brands in New York City for global companies including Avon, Tommy Hilfiger, Brooks Brothers and Shutterfly, Conlin returned to Lancaster to lead creative direction for Bristol Myers Squibb’s corporate rebrand. Her career reflects the power of creative professionals as organizational leaders and mentors — a model for PCA&D students charting their own paths.

Looking Ahead

President Barnes noted that the year ahead will be shaped by continued momentum: new academic initiatives, expanded partnerships with regional employers and cultural organizations and a renewed focus on preparing graduates for meaningful creative careers.

“PCA&D is growing in ways that matter to students, to employers, and to our community,” Barnes said. “With trustees like Theresa, Lauren and Kelly at the table, we’re strengthening the bridge between education and opportunity — ensuring our graduates are ready to lead in the creative economy and that Lancaster remains a vibrant center for art and design.”
