PhotoVogue, an online platform for emerging and established photographers around the world, often acts as a resource for the global Conde Nast publishing empire.
Recently, Photography & Video senior Cameren White’s work was selected by PhotoVogue to feature on its platform.
He’s submitted work before, White says, but this is the first time that it was selected — on the same day he submitted it — for inclusion in PhotoVogue’s collection.
“I’m working on a project that combines the worlds of fashion and emotion,” White says. “The main words associated with this project are duality and vulnerability specifically within the Black culture.”
The image selected by PhotoVogue, Still Blue, is one of the images that will be featured in the project. The two models are brothers Myles and Gabriel Mitchell-White.
“PhotoVogue aligns with Condé Nast’s goal of celebrating our differences,” according to the website. “We are a collection of more than 6,000 individuals serving 37 brands in 26 languages, spanning 32 markets worldwide. Diversity is one of our greatest strengths and it is reflected in the diversity of our contributors from PhotoVogue.” The platform is open to all genres of photography and subject matter.”
