  • The work of Assistant Professor William Mammarella (Chair, Foundation) is featured in a new exhibition, Landscapes, open through Oct. 10 at the Little Gallery on Bowling Green University’s Fireland campus. Mammarella has been part of PCA&D’s faculty since 1997, and is former chair of the Fine Art Department. The gallery states that Mammarella “views landscape not as scenery, but as the shape the land takes as a result of human activities and desires.” You can view more of the Landscapes exhibition here, and visit Mammarella’s website here.

  • Provost Carissa Massey recently served on a forum panel of the Hourglass Foundation on the Future of the Arts in Lancaster County. Through forums and publications, the foundation works to inform the public on key quality of life areas in the region, and works with Lancaster County leaders to empower them to make informed decisions. Massey spoke of the strength that results from homegrown creatives flourishing in a community, and the strength of the College itself. You can learn more about the foundation and find a recording of the panel here.

  • Larissa Ramey ’19, Photography, recently was honored as an Artists 360 artist and Student Award recipient through the Mid-America Arts Alliance. Artists360 elevates talented artists of Northwest Arkansas by providing grant funding and professional development opportunities to individual artists of all disciplines.
  • Melanie Vera ’19, Fine Art, is one of 10 artists whose work is featured in the September issue of Subomagazine, a Portugal-based international magazine for emerging artists. To see more of Vera’s work, follow her instagram (@melaniebrigidavera_fineart) or visit melanievera.com.
