Rieko Chacey (Adjunct, Graphic Design) designed the projected animation and sound for a current solo exhibition, Blooming, by Sookkyung Park. Park’s piece was the first-place winner in the 2023 international competition, Paper Made, held by Fiber Art Now.
Blooming is on display through Feb. 22 at Carver Center for Arts and Technology, Towson, Md.
- The 60th Annniversary edition of Graphic Design USA featured the award-winning work of Ellie Cochran ’19 (Adjunct, Animation & Game Art, Graphic Design), who received four American Graphic Design Awards for her work on behalf of the Lancaster LGBTQ+ Coalition. You can see the full feature here.
- The work of wildlife artist Matt Doyle ’09 graced the January cover of Fur, Fish, & Game, an outdoors adventure, sporting, and survival publication. The Pennsylvania-based artist shares his work at mattdoylefineart.com, and you can read more about his cover here.
- Congratulations to Illustration Chair Robert Young, who has had two illustrations accepted into this year’s Cheltenham Illustration Awards. The pair of illustrations, one reflecting the threat that AI poses to workers and the second, about training your own replacement at work, will be on display at the Wilson Museum in Cheltenham, U.K., later this year.
