Description
In this session students will work with early fall flowers and foliage to create a flower pounded wall hanging! Artist and educator Christina Lukac will lead this hands on workshop where students will be able to experiment with the art of tataki-zomé or “plant bashing”. Students will be able to make flower prints by gently hammering flowers and foliage into natural fiber fabric. Students will learn the centuries old method of using natural objects in artwork, receive a guided demonstration from the instructor, and have lots of studio time to create. Students will leave this session with the knowledge of a new technique and a flower pounded banner to take home!
This course must meet minimum enrollment by September 27th in order to run. Register today!
