Week 4 | July | Nature Observation: Specimens & Botanicals: Grades 4-6

In this class, we will cultivate your observational skills and reconnect with the natural world. Students will learn to slow down and “see” with new eyes through sketching natural objects—models, stones, shells, and leaves. These classes emphasize “deep looking,” mindfulness, and capturing the details, textures, and forms of the natural world. This is a studio based class with lots of guidance to start followed by one-on-one instruction. Expect to have some creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
