I based my thesis on historically accurate renditions and ideations of 1600’s Piracy, more specifically The Golden Age of Piracy. Growing up I would always see pirates depicted in media and have loved the look, action, and adventure of it all. So with my love of pirates I also gained a love of history, my passion for it residing between the 1600’s through the 1800’s. With that I wanted to incorporate my love for history into my thesis and decided to do a tarot deck based off of Piracy being the two are intertwined in a way. The major arcana all have meaning and a purpose and with it, and several attempts got me to the most accurate outcome that suited the cards.

Born and raised in Louisiana, I grew up with a passion for art, any media I could get my hands on. I went to an art conservatory back home during high school that truly showed me that this is where my heart is. From there I was able to grow my style and truly hone in on what I wanted my art to be. Through combining my passion for art and my love for history I create work that I used to only fantasize about.
