Brittany Taylor Lare

Brittany Taylor Lare’s work is often informed by data collection. Her senior thesis project is a fiber arts installation that uses climate change data to dictate the colors used in a series of crocheted scarves. The project highlights Lare’s desire not only to learn about the world herself but to use data visualization to help educate those around her through art. Her work has been exhibited at the Lancaster Museum of Art where she received the Artist Impact Award and was discussed during an Artist Talk with the museum director. Following graduation, Lare will continue working on data visualization projects that educate the public about social and environmental issues.
