Karissa Nicole Deiter

Through highly observational portraiture, Karissa Nicole explores the identities her subjects are willing to share with the world. Working primarily in oils, she also uses digital tools and graphite to explore lettering and landscapes. Nicole’s senior thesis project consists of realistic portraits of strangers solicited over social media. Her work has been exhibited at the Lancaster Museum of Art, featured in the accompanying publication, and discussed during an Artist Talk with the museum director. She is a recipient of the PCA&D Presidential Merit Scholarship and made the Dean’s List every semester. Following graduation, Nicole plans to take business classes and open her own art cafe.
