Most recently exploring a process called velvet etching, Mab Moon works with a variety of materials. Her work explores themes of memory and human anatomy, specifically focusing on faces as a strong recurring image. Moon’s senior thesis project uses the chemical process of velvet etching to burn out designs related
to memory and faces on fabric. Moon has exhibited her work at the Lancaster Museum of Art, Zoetropolis, The Rabbit and Dragonfly, and the Hamilton Club, where she was awarded the September Emerging Artist Award. She is the recipient of a PCA&D Presidential Merit Scholarship and has been on the Dean’s List every year.
