Emily Reifsnyder’s thesis focuses on the relationship between the artist, the artwork, and the audience. This body of work features self-portrait photography, handwritten text and appropriated literature, abstract imagery, and video clips. Her physical pieces are accompanied by questions that encourage the viewer to reflect on how they have perceived her through the work, and what their conclusion reveals about themself in turn.
