Do you remember the first time you saw a dinosaur? We sense the very power and ferocity of these animals and recreate it through art. Through the use of various mediums, Hunter Snider tries to recreate these animals to show the primal energy we see while also presenting their animal nature. Influenced by scientific and popular culture surrounding prehistoric life, Hunter creates dinosaurs that feel like animals rather than monsters.
Through a series of “dinoramas,” posters and sculptures, Hunter’s show “Re-Extinction” shows viewers the fragility of nature and the strength of mankind’s destructive capacities by showing these ancient and powerful animals brought to their knees by mankind’s ignorance.
