Leona Hatch

Photography & Video, BFA

Minor in Art History & Visual Culture
Thesis Project

Leona Hatch uses photography and videography to entice viewers to solve mysteries through the board game that she has created. Through interactive board game playing and viewing photos, viewers can participate in solving a mystery at a fraternity house by playing as characters in the board game. Using digital photography, Hatch has incorporated her own photography as pawns in her game, whether some photos are the environments in which a mystery took place or portraits of people who have become characters, as well as making her own cards that portray the evidence that is seen throughout the game. Hatch is encouraging viewers to have fun with her board game and solve the mystery the game creates.
