Thesis Project

My inspirations show through the work that I’ve put into my thesis project, “The Fun-gi”. My love of nature is most evident, the forest environment that I modeled and hand painted shows the beauty of nature. Nature was also in my character designs, while keeping them simple. I was inspired by childhood animations, and want to inspire the future generation. I always put my all into my work, and this shows it, all my old and new skills were developed in my thesis film. And I will continue to let the world inspire me to create.

Bio
With the help of animation, Mackenzie dreams to present beautiful and meaningful stories. With fun and simple character designs and more complex environments, Mackenzie uses Maya, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine within their short film “The Fun-gi” to make a stylized 3D animation. Mackenzie wishes to inspire younger artists to work towards their dreams like animation did for her as a child. She hopes to storyboard for children’s animation to bring beauty and meaning to the stories being told, while telling jokes and staying entertaining.
