Description

In this workshop for students in grades 7-9, your child will be given the opportunity to explore their own personal narrative and create a meaningful reflection using found imagery and various media. We will look at specific contemporary artist examples which will allow them to become inspired to think about how they can convey messages about personal experience, identity, cultural awareness. We will work on square wooden panels as the surface area and use magazines and other printed materials as well as found objects, fabrics, stickers, etc. in the compilation of a finished mixed media artwork. Our work will emphasize the distinct way that art and language are related.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by January 25 in order to run. Register today!
