- Ashley Moog Bowlsbey ’12, Photography & Video Adjunct, recently had work featured in the Head On Photo Festival 2024, as an Exposure Finalist. The Australian exhibition, held at Paddington Reservoir Gardens, displayed Moog Bowlsbey’s piece Second Skin. Her recent work examines topics of body image and feminine beauty ideals, and she has exhibited both nationally and internationally. You can see her work online at ashleymoog.com
- An interview with wildlife artist Matt Doyle ’09, Fine Art, recently was featured in On the Water magazine, a showcase of fish and fishermen, and last year was awarded Wildlife Artist of the Year by the Pennsylvania Taxidermy Association. - Work by Parker Galen ’23, Fine Art, is on display in Materiality, in Sykes Gallery, Millersville University, through March 20. Galen, a former Emerging Artist in Residence at the university, is part of the exhibition as one of Millersville’s Volunteers in Service artists. Over the past few years, the exhibition notes, Galen’s work has become more focused on fibers, “expressed with a sense of delicate beauty in works made of refuse.” Follow his work on Instagram at @park.does.art.
- Work by Jason Herr ’16, Fine Art, is part of a three-artist exhibition, Wayward, through March 13 at Newchild Gallery, Antwerp, Belgium. A former Fine Art Alumni Artist in Residence at PCA&D (2019-2020), Herr also exhibited in A Solitary Loop, in 2023, in the College’s Main Gallery. He has exhibited extensively both nationally and internationally, and was interviewed in November by ArtHub Magazine. You can see more of his work on Instagram at @jas0n_herr_.
- Three PCA&D Fine Art alumni — Aubrey Maurer ’22, Callie Morton ’22, and Emily Reifsnyder ’22, along with Lancaster native Danielle Lillich — are showing their work in Unfolding Stories: A Women Exhibition, opening April 3 with a reception, 6-8 pm, at the Kerlin Gallery of Creative York, 10 N. Beaver St., York. An artist lecture will be held April 4 at 6 pm, and the exhibition runs through May 10.
- Work by Amelia Mellberg ’21, Illustration, recently was part of the Love Me, Love Me Not heart-themed show at HIVE artspace Gallery and artist collective in York City. Mellberg, who is based in York, uses a variety of media to create work that is vibrant, whimsical, and evokes a sense of childlike wonder. - Congratulations to Kelly Phan ’22, Graphic Design, who has been promoted from Junior Graphic Designer to Designer at Tower Marketing.
- Mak Sherrid ’24, Illustration, is expanding his creativity as Assistant Director of Costume at the award-winning Dutch Wonderland theme park. Go here to learn more about this recent graduate’s work.
- Austin Taylor ’24, Graphic Design, has started a new position as a Graphic Designer for Nexus Motorsport. Taylor was a GDUSA Student to Watch in 2024.
