PCA&D welcomes new faculty for Spring 2024

PCA&D is pleased to welcome the following faculty members joining our College for the Spring 2024 semester:

Dale Benner:

Dale Benner

Dale Benner is a recently retired banker, after 40 years and 8 mergers within the field. He has experience in many areas of banking but spent most of his career in Dealer Services working with consumer car loans, leases, and commercial relationships. A resident of York, Brenner graduated from Shippensburg University with a degree in Business Management, and has taught at the elementary, middle school, and high school levels as well as Adult Education. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Hoffman Home for Youth and Wolf’s Covenant Church, and has volunteered with Junior Achievement. He emphasizes the value of financial literacy and basic business knowledge for running our own personal lives or working for or owning a business. He will teach MAT 102 Business Math. 

Rieko Chacey:

Rieko Chacey

After Rieko Chacey worked as a professional graphic designer, motion graphic designer, E-pub designer, and web graphic content manager for years, she shifted her career to teaching interactive media, time-based media, and graphic design. She teaches to equip aspiring designers to excel professionally in creative job fields. She has a passion for visual storytelling with any medium. 

Chacey will teach GD 221 Introduction to Web Design for the Graphic Design Department. 

Raven Eckman: 

Raven Eckman is an author, freelance editor, and literary fangirl. She always knew books were her passion, well after her grandmother’s challenge to read a book a day when she was young.

She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing from Arcadia University and obtained her Master of Fine Arts in Writing at Lindenwood University.

Raven Eckman

In 2018 she launched her freelance editing business, A New Look On Books, and has worked with a range of authors, both self-published and traditionally published, on short stories and novels in multiple genres.

In 2021 her debut novel Shadowspeak was published by Fox Pointe Publishing LLP followed by the publication of a picture book series, Boogie’s Adventures Book Series.

Eckman lives with her GSD, Atlas, two rescue cats, Loki and Freya, and a Paint horse named Toby.
Eckman will teach two sections of FVC 102 Foundations of Verbal Communications II for the Liberal Arts Department.

Tiffany Hinojosa: 

Tiffany Hinojosa is a Project Manager, Illustrator, and Writer from Texas. She has a BS in Radio-Television-Film from The University of Texas at Austin’s Moody College of

Communication. Originally beginning her education with a focus in digital art & illustration, she developed a keen interest in leadership and production management throughout her school years, leading her to pursue and successfully work in the animation and games industry for the past 8 years. When not working, you can find her hitting her monthly reading and writing goals, playing video games with her partner, and spoiling their two cats.

Hinojosa will teach AGA 306 Professional Practices I for the AGA Department this Spring. 

JD Keller: 

JD Keller

JD Keller is an artist, educator, and scholar currently residing in Lancaster. He received his MFA at Temple University and is a doctoral candidate at the University at Albany (SUNY). His research focuses on the intersections of race and class in Transatlantic Modernist literature alongside the politics and poetics of Neoliberal Slipstream.

Keller will teach the following two classes for the Liberal Arts Department: ENG 310 Creative Writing and FVC 102 Foundations of Verbal Communications II.

Mark Mullen: 

Mark Mullen

Mark Mullen is an experienced professional in audio, broadcast, IT, lighting, media, and video.  He has covered numerous areas in the AVL realm providing consulting, design, and value engineering services.  He manages broadcast studios, recording suites, media labs and large sound systems for Millersville University. Mullen is also the current Chair of the Philadelphia SMPTE section and a vice-chair of the local SBE 41 Chapter.  He will be teaching LEX 224 Lighting Design & Production I.

Anjelikal Rogers:

Anjelikal Rogers

Anjelikal Rogers is a 3D artist and adjunct instructor specializing in 3D character modeling and rigging. She obtained her B.S. in Animation and Visual Effects from Drexel University in 2021, followed by an M.S. in Digital Media from Drexel University in 2022.

Rogers will teach AGA 204 Story & Screen II and AGA 206 Computer Animation II for the Animation & Game Art Department. 

Vanessa Xie:

Vanessa Xie is a versatile and passionate Design Researcher with a diverse career background in sales, design,

research, and hospitality. Exploring the intersection of technology, design, human behavior, and experiences is a special interest of hers. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Penn State University and her Master’s degree in Design Research from Drexel University. Her master’s thesis project focuses on the process of engaging with emerging technologies in blockchain, which was published in Dezeen. Philadelphia is where she calls home and outside of work, you can find her training with her dragon boat team, trying new recipes, and hanging out with her pups.

Xie will be teaching DTH 400 Design Thinking Studio.
