Description

Learn about Puerto Rican culture in this interactive class! Cabezudos are papier mache heads used in processionals, carnaval, and other cultural events in Puerto Rico. Usually modeled after political figures and cultural icons, Cabezudo’s are a fun way to practice your sculpting skills while diving into a bit of Puerto Rican history! After a brief presentation, participants will first choose a figure they would like to recreate as their puppet and begin designing, sculpting, and detailing the puppet heads.

*Please note that this class uses wheat flour for papier mache construction.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by July 3 in order to run. Register today!
