Description

The changing seasons are a time for observation, introspection, and appreciation. Fall and winter months remind us to slow down, notice what’s going on around us and within us, and allow space for transition. In this online class, we will utilize gentle movement and mindfulness practices to develop an embodied approach to writing. This can help us connect more deeply to our lived experience, explore the relationship between our physical experiences and the act of writing, and write with more integrity, empathy, and awareness. Additionally writing with the body in mind has been shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression and improve cognitive functioning, attention, and emotional regulation. The goal is for you to leave with techniques for engaging with your writing and the world in a more embodied, mindful way.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by October 10 in order to run. Register today!
