Description
Join artist and educator Christina Lukac and learn two centuries old processes that are making a comeback in the art world. In this hands-on workshop you will learn about the history of cyanotype printing, a photo printing process using natural or artificial UV light to create photo prints and indigo dye, a centuries old dye process created by binding and resisting fabric that is dyed indigo blue. Students will have detailed demonstration from the instructor and lots of studio time to explore experimenting and creating with these techniques. It will be hard to feel blue when you leave this class with the knowledge to try this at home and a collection of cyanotype prints and indigo dyed fabric!

Supply List
- Students may email the instructor a high quality, high contrast (good areas of dark and light in the image) image to be printed as a negative for cyanotype printing.
- Students have the option to bring flat objects to be used in cyanotype printing. Students may also bring up to two fabric pieces from home that are 100% natural fabrics such as cotton, linen, silk, or wool for indigo dye.
