Description

This clothed figure drawing class for students in grades 9-12 explores working in a variety of drawing materials while drawing from a live model. Students will be introduced to and expand on human anatomy, perspective in figure drawing, composition of form and value, thumbnails and preparatory sketches, material handling, and working from a live model. Students should expect to gain efficiency in translating the 3D into the 2D, explore expressive mark making, ways of measuring and drawing correct proportions, and techniques that aid observational artists in accomplishing beautiful figure drawings with dynamic compositions.

This is a credit-bearing class and grades will be given. Please check the supply list tab for materials needed to complete this class.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by June 30 in order to run. Register today!
