Description

In this class students will be introduced to stop motion animation. They will explore the principles of animation as it pertains to their chosen materials. Students can animate with clay, cut paper, toys or any other chosen material to create a short piece composed of multiple animated shots. You will learn the basics of shot composition, story telling and editing while working through your final piece.

NOTE: This class requires students to bring a smartphone or tablet for class use with the StopMotion app downloaded. The free version is fine for our use. If you prefer to download the paid version that will also work.

This is a credit-bearing class and grades will be given. Please check the supply list tab for materials needed to complete this class.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by July 1 in order to run. Register today!
