Description

This course is designed to introduce students in grades 9-12 to the fundamentals of visual branding and graphic design. Students will learn how to create effective visual communication using typography, color theory, composition, and other design principles. In addition, students will gain practical skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, two industry-standard software tools used in graphic design.

This is a credit-bearing class and grades will be given. Please check the supply list tab for materials needed to complete this class.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by July 1 in order to run. Register today! 

Supply List

  • Wired or Wireless headphones: to connect to the computer while we work on projects. (I want you to actually listen to music, it’s part of the creative process.)
  • Sketchbook and Drawing Pencils: to take notes and sketch out ideas.
  • USB Drive or Google Drive login: to take the footage they created and have a backup of their files.
  • An Adobe ID login email address for access to an active Adobe account (NO subscription necessary to obtain an ID.)
