Description
Printed media has a long history of being used as a tool in activism and social justice movements. Printmaking allows one to make multiple copies of their artwork, ideas, and beliefs and distribute them to friends, on the street, and anywhere else they can think of. In this class, students will create a poster design for a subject they feel passionate about and bring it to life as a screenprinted poster. This two-day class will cover a brief history of social justice posters, the process of creating a screen, and screenprinting techniques. At the end of the class, students are free to trade copies of their posters with each other. All supplies will be provided. Just bring your ideas!
This course must meet minimum enrollment by November 5th in order to run. Register today!
