Week 2 | July | Art and Books: Wild Robot: Grades 1-3

The Wild Robot is a beloved children’s book (and now film!) which follows a curious robot called Roz, who finds herself stranded in the wild on an island. Roz must learn to survive and earn the trust of the island’s animals. This is a beautiful tale of acceptance, friendship and what it means to care about others. We will look at the pen and ink illustrations in the original book and explore themes from the book in many media! Come join us! This is a studio based class with lots of guidance to start followed by one-on-one instruction. Expect to have lots of creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
