Description
In this portraiture class students will learn methods for finding and maintaining likeness, practice planning a portrait composition, study the systems of composition that support a compelling image, and explore material application to support their desired result. Anatomy, historical context, and working from a live model are also utilized to assist your experience and understanding.
This course must meet minimum enrollment by February 25 in order to run. Register today!

- Graphite pencils

- Plastic or Hard Eraser
- Artist’s Tape
- Drawing Board
- Optional: Charcoal, Conte, ink, watercolor, or gouache and associated materials like brushes, sponge, cup for water, palette, and chamois
- Blending Stump
- Watercolor or heavy weight drawing paper (at least 80lb)
