Description

Botanical art draws together art and science in this time-honored genre. In this watercolor workshop, we will take a field trip to visit our friends at Gallery Grow (located at 150 N Prince street) to explore their special plant specimens. You will get to adopt one plant (included in the cost of the workshop) to take back to the studio to use as your inspiration! Using our plants as reference, we will create beautiful watercolor plant paintings. We will have a brief discussion on the selected subjects, followed by guided instruction throughout class with instructor demonstrations along the way. The use of brush strokes, color mixing, contrast, and composition will be emphasized to create a unique and expressive work of art. Individual creativity will be encouraged and all experience levels are welcome. This is a great Valentines Day workshop to take with your favorite person!

This course must meet minimum enrollment by February 7 in order to run. Register today!
