Book signing featured on December First Friday

PCA&D is hosting a book signing featuring eight of its faculty members during the December 5th First Friday gallery reception.

“Faculty Biennial” will be open to the public from 5 – 9 p.m. The exhibit features new work in a variety of media by almost 30 studio faculty members. Read all about the exhibit here.

The book signing will be held from 7 – 8 p.m. during the gallery reception. Artists/authors who will have books for sale include Charlie Beyl (illustration), Robert Hochgertel (illustration), Jeff Howe (liberal arts), Joe Kulka (illustration), Tim Roda (fine art), Luke Shaw (photography), Eric Weeks (photography), and Christine Welch (photography).

PCA&D’s faculty are top-notch. The learning experience that they create teaches students adaptive thinking techniques and effective making skills. This process results in a deliberate and influential artistic voice. Students engage with an interactive process of concept, construction, critique, and redesign in an immersive experiential environment.

Because our faculty are working, professional artists, events such as the First Friday book signing are examples of how they exemplify a creative and influential life in art.

Written by Jeff Howe: “How Do You Get a Whale in Vermont?” (history and science) and “What the Next Moment Might Bring” (short stories)

Illustrated and written by by Joe Kulka: “Vacation’s Over! Return of the Dinosaurs,” “My Crocodile Does Not Bite,” and “Wolf’s Coming!”
