Description
This is a perfect introductory class for anyone interested in learning how to paint using acrylics! After a brief introduction on materials, techniques, and compositions you will complete a series of small paintings from observation. Through these paintings, we will cover ways to start a painting, limited palettes, and value/color studies. Everyone will have an opportunity to participate in group critiques and receive feedback from instructor before completing the final painting during the final class.
This course must meet minimum enrollment by May 25 in order to run. Register today!
Supplies
- (3) 16″ x 20″ or larger stretched canvases NOTE: You only need to bring two on the first night of class
- Acrylic Paints – Suggested colors: Cadmium Red Medium, Cadmium Yellow Light & Medium, Ultramarine Blue, Titanium White, Paynes Grey
- A variety of paintbrushes (flat and round, large, small and medium)
- A Palette/Palette Paper
