Description

This online workshop is for anybody interested in 2D Animation for Television & Film! Whether you like to design, animate, or are just interested in how your favorite shows are made – we will cover a compact version of the 2D animation pipeline for Television & Film, the many departments within the pipeline, and what it takes to work in the industry. This is meant as a general lecture based course, so students can decide for themselves what interests them most about the 2D animation pipeline and what role they might like to learn more about. While we will focus on primarily TV & Film, the information learned here can be applied to other digital 2D fields like motion graphics and video games.

Once we have learned the step-by-step process of the pipeline, we will go in depth on those different steps and talk about the different roles in animation needed to complete them in greater detail. We will cover the various day-to-day aspects of the role and what kind of knowledge is required to do the role. By the end of this course, you will gain an introductory knowledge of the 2D animation pipeline, how to produce your own animated pieces, and a direction for which part of the pipeline you may want to master and learn more about.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by June 17 in order to run. Register today!
