Description
What’s your go-to fireside story? What about that family tale that’s so extraordinary that it’s unbelievable? In this workshop, we’ll hone our narrative craft (including setting, character, and description) as we flesh out the stories we grew up hearing, telling, and passing along! Students in this course will read and respond to a sample text, draft their own heirloom story, and receive feedback from peers and instructor. While there won’t be a literal campfire, we’ll spend the evening spinning yarns. After all, everyone’s got a story to tell!
This is a lecture based and creative writing class with some lecture and guidance followed by time to write using the skills learned in class.
This course must meet minimum enrollment by July 15th in order to run. Register today!
