Learn to create your own website using the WordPress platform. WordPress is one of the most popular and easy-to-use programs for website creation. It will cover custom themes, blog design, managing posts, adding new pages and links, installing plug-ins, search engine optimization tips, and adding analytics. See first-hand why WordPress is a valuable tool for individuals and business owners to use to create or maintain their own website. NOTE: Previous HTML experience recommended but not required. You do not need to have an existing website to take this course.

This class will meet live in Google Meet at 6 PM on Wednesdays. This class is ten weeks in length. Students having specific questions or concerns about the class or accessibility should reach out to the instructor directly via email. All questions related to assignments and WordPress should be posted in Google Classroom and will be discussed in the online class meetings as to benefit all students. Students are expected to work at their own pace during the week in between assignments and meetings while being mindful of due dates. Students are encouraged to utilize the Wednesday class meeting time as allotted work periods to keep a structured schedule and time spent on projects.
