Parent + Child: Calder Exploration: Ages 5-8

In this family oriented class, we will investigate the art of Alexander Calder! There will be a brief discussion and observation to begin our hands-on experience of collaborating and creating. We will experiment with large non-permanent sculpture, and create independent wire sculptures and paintings inspired by Calder’s art. Be prepared to work diligently, collaborate, and have fun creating 2D and 3D art! This is a studio based class with a bit of guidance to start followed by one-on-one guidance. Expect to have lot’s of creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
