Description

This introductory digital painting course for grades 9-12 will ask you to explore two questions: How to Paint? And how to paint digitally in Adobe Photoshop?

We will begin with a study of simple effects of light on form to learn to think like an observational painter while exploring the digital tools that Photoshop has to offer. We will focus on building understanding in rendering 3-dimensional form, light and its effect on local color, mark-making, and using brushes in the digital space. We will also look at Photoshop adjustment layers and their ability to create various lighting scenarios for your paintings

This is a credit-bearing class and grades will be given. Please check the supply list tab for materials needed to complete this class.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by July 1 in order to run. Register today!
