In this beginning digital photography class we will take a deep dive into how to use a DSLR camera, create successful compositions, explore lighting, and create technically proficient photographs . Various styles of photography and artists will be introduced through lecture in class, which students will use as inspiration to craft their own images.

This is a credit-bearing class and grades will be given. Please check the supply list tab for materials needed to complete this class.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by July 15 in order to run. Register today! 

Supply List

  • Hard drive or flash drive for saving and transporting images
  • Note taking supplies
  • Camera is optional. PCA&D will have digital DSLR cameras available during class time. If you would prefer to bring your own manual capability camera, you may do so.
  • An Adobe ID login email address for access to an active Adobe account (NO subscription necessary to obtain an ID.)
