Description

This painting class for students in grades 9-12 delves into the science behind light, perception, and pigment behavior for a thorough understanding for translating the world around us into paint. Students will utilize history and lectured materials through interactive practice and experimentation and ultimately apply their knowledge to two finished paintings. This class answers all of the questions about color theory and gives students a solid foundation for building their painting practice with confidence in their visual understanding, critical thinking skills, materials, and their paint pigment choices.

This is a credit-bearing class and grades will be given. Please check the supply list tab for materials needed to complete this class.

This course must meet minimum enrollment by June 29 in order to run. Register today!
