Description
If you are interested in visual development, character & creature design or digital animation this class is for you! Introduction to Digital Animation & Character Design combines the traditional character sheet with introductory skills in computer animation. In this class you will learn the basics of drawing for animation, creating character turnarounds and composing a polished character sheet. We will work in Krita (a free open source drawing and animation program) to sketch, ink and animate our own original character from start to finish. By the end of the course you will leave with a finished printed character sheet as well as a digital animated gif version of this sheet in action. Our camp will culminate in an exhibition on the final day! This is a studio based class with a bit of guidance, demonstration, and one-on-one instruction. Expect to have lots of creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!
This course must meet minimum enrollment by July 20 in order to run. Register today!
