Description
This intermediate/beginner sewing class will focus on various hand and machine sewing techniques, such as hems, seams, buttons and buttonholes, zippers, and finishing techniques. For example, you will learn to sew French seams, flat fell seams, machine and bound buttonholes, and several techniques for hemming pants, skirts, coats, among other techniques. You must have a basic understanding of how to use your sewing machine was well as a basic understanding of hand sewing. Please see the supply list as you are required to bring your sewing machine and sewing tools to the class. You will have the option to complete either a series of reference stitches and/or apply to one or two sewing projects you may bring to the class.
This course must meet minimum enrollment by October 29 in order to run. Register today!

- Hand sewing tools:
- various needles
- thread
- fabric scissors
- seam ripper
- marking tools (tracing paper and wheel, chalk, etc.)
- thread snips
- tape measure
- clear ruler
- Sewing Machine with all accessories: various feet, several bobbins etc.
- Any projects, such as a garment to make or finish, and/or fabrics on which to practice the techniques you will learn in the class.
