Description

In this engaging class, students in Grades 1 through 3 will explore the vibrant traditions of the Lunar New Year. We will begin by reading “Lunar New Year” by Hannah Eliot, a beautifully illustrated book that introduces children to the celebrations, symbols, and cultural meanings behind this important holiday. After learning about the customs and stories shared during Lunar New Year, your child will shift into hands-on creativity as they design their own artwork inspired by the Year of the Horse. Using a variety of art materials, your child will craft a unique horse-themed piece to take home. This class blends literacy, cultural learning, and artistic expression to create a fun and memorable experience! This is a studio based class with a bit of guidance to start followed by one-on-one instruction. Expect your child to have some creative freedom within the bounds of the assignment!

This course must meet minimum enrollment by February 14 in order to run. Register today!
